School’s practically out which means the kids are home and getting to spend some quality time with you. We’ve brought you a fun art inspiration from crafter & blogger Linda, of Burlapandblue.com, that you can do with on your own or with the kids this summer. This wall art can be used in many different areas of your home or even as a creative gift.

Linda used a canvas, Modge Podge, scrapbook paper, foam brush and scissors for this project.

One of my favorite things about being able to use different types of scrapbook paper is that is can be completely different colors/patterns or it can be from a similar collection or theme.

You could easily create some wall art for a baby’s nursery, you kid’s playroom or bedroom, the kitchen, family room, or even for your child’s teacher! Other ideas could be use photographs alongside the paper to capture memories from graduations, summer BBQs, and trips. There are so many different colors, patterns, designs, and themes of paper that help capture those unique memories your love and/or compliment the areas of your home.

A crafter’s usually got an ample amount of scrapbooking paper to use and this is a great way to turn it into some art. Find a blank canvas, pick you favorite papers or a theme and off you go.
