Project Inspiration for January Kit

We’re so excited to present our November layout and craft ideas created by our fabulous Design Team members using our Winter Wonderland Collection Kit by Echo Park.

Discover the beauty of Winter Scrapbooking Layout

Melissa Bierlein

Melissa’s snowy-day layout is all about cozy winter vibes and letting those photos shine. She started with a bold black background layered with snowflakes, which instantly sets the scene. A strip of light blue patterned paper creates the perfect photo area, helping the photos pop even more. Each photo is matted in black cardstock and placed right on the light blue strip for extra contrast. Below the photos, Melissa added a sticker strip from the sticker sheet and a piece of twine to softly separate the sections. At the top, a fun cutout sits on the right while a banner on the left, pulled from the die cut pack and sticker sheet, adds balance, all strung together with twine.

Cutest Little Snowflakes Scrapbooking Layout

Melissa Bierlein

Melissa started with the multi-colored snowflake paper as the base, giving the page instant winter charm. The photos are backed with a darker patterned paper from the kit, helping them stand out beautifully. One of the chipboard frames is used to highlight this cutie, drawing the eye right to the photos. In the lower center, Melissa added a cutout from the kit for extra detail. To bring in sparkle and dimension, she pulled out a red glitter snowflake along with flowers and brads from her stash treasure she’s had for years and finally put to perfect use.

New Year Shine Scrapbooking Layout

Meggy Paulos

Meggy’s layout comes together with a clean design and lots of thoughtful details. She started by choosing the perfect background paper, then trimmed her photo to the size she wanted and matted it twice for extra depth. To create a strong visual element, Meggy used frames from the embellishment kit, backing each one with white paper and staggering them down the right side of the page to highlight her five goals for the year. On the left side, a floral border balances the layout, with the photo placed neatly at the bottom beside it. Above the photo, Meggy added a cut-apart 3×4 card as an embellishment, layering it with a floral from the sticker sheet and a journaling tag. The title sits next to the photo, finished off with a floral sticker and two journaling embellishments.

Let It Snow Fun Fold Scrapbooking Layout

Leslie Turner

Leslie created a gorgeous layered diamonds pop-up card using papers and stickers from the Carta Bella Winter Wonderland Collection Kit, and it’s full of cozy winter sparkle. She used navy blue cardstock from her stash for the card base and the pop-up diamond elements, giving the design a rich, elegant foundation. For the layers, Leslie cut panels from several different patterned papers in the kit, then added an ivory cardstock diamond from her stash to create a soft focal point. Image and sentiment stickers from the sticker sheet bring the design together, while a few sparkly stars from Rosie’s Studio Glitter Foam Stickers in the upgrades add just the right touch of shine. To finish the card, Leslie added an ivory panel to the back, embellished it with a scrap of floral paper used on the front, and topped it off with a sentiment sticker. If winter-themed cardmaking is your thing, this kit is packed with beautiful papers and elements that make projects like this come together effortlessly.

Snow Days Hidden Gate Fold Scrapbooking Layout

Leslie Turner

Leslie started with a dark green cardstock from her stash for the card base, then layered the front and back with patterned papers from the collection.

For the focal details, Leslie added a trimmed journaling card from the kit, paired with a piece of ephemera from the Winter Wonderland Frames & Tags and a few gold stars from Rosie’s Studio Glitter Foam Stickers in the upgrades. Inside the card, she used white cardstock from her stash for the sentiment panel, then finished it off with an embellishing strip and a sentiment sticker from the sticker sheet.

This clever fold and thoughtful layering make the card a standout, and the mix of kit elements and upgrades adds just the right amount of sparkle and personality.

Hello Winter Tri-Fold Scrapbooking Layout

Leslie Turner

Leslie created a gorgeous winter-themed card with a fun twist, using a vertical tri-fold design instead of the usual horizontal fold. She mixed coordinating papers and a journaling card from the Carta Bella Winter Wonderland Collection Kit, then added extra sparkle with a sentiment from Rosie’s Studio Glitter Foam Stickers and a piece of ephemera from the Frames & Tags set (both from the upgrades). The layered florals, gold foil accents, and soft winter colors really make this card stand out. This month’s kit is packed with papers and elements that are perfect for cozy winter projects. On the inside bottom flap, she layered another print from the collection onto gold foil cardstock, then finished it off with an embellishing strip and a sentiment from the Carta Bella Winter Wonderland Frames & Tags (from the upgrades). Designer tip: the bottom flap can be adhered on the left and right sides, making it the perfect spot to tuck in a gift card, cash, or even a mini card.

Warm Winter Wishes Triple Fold Scrapbooking Layout

Leslie Turner

Leslie created a pretty triple-fold card using coordinating papers and a trimmed journaling card from the Carta Bella Winter Wonderland Collection Kit, along with a Little Birdie Scroll Border Frame, two stars from Rosie’s Studio Glitter Foam Stickers, and a tag from the Carta Bella Winter Wonderland Frames & Tags (all from the upgrades). Everything in this month’s kit coordinates beautifully, making it easy to create stunning winter-themed projects. She cut the card base and strips from white cardstock in her stash and layered panels from two different prints in the collection. The front focal point was built using a scroll frame from the upgrades paired with a trimmed journaling card, all mounted onto a rectangle die cut. The finishing touch was the addition of two glittery stars for a bit of sparkle. On the back, she added a layered panel topped with a tag from the upgrades, then finished it off with a sweet die-cut bow from her stash for a little extra detail.

Cozy Winter Vibes Scrapbooking Layout

Marci Bensing

Marci shares a look at how this winter layout came together, starting with her base papers and photos. She trimmed one of the beautiful chipboard frames to place on either side of the two photos, creating a balanced focal point right from the start.

As the page comes together, Marci adds lots of cozy detail and dimension. In the top right corner, she layers die cuts with foam adhesive and finishes them with a twine bow laced through the tags. The lower left features a popped-up winter title, with the word “day” cut from today in the word sticker pack and added onto WINTER. In the center, dark snowflake paper fills each frame and is tucked behind the photos, accented with pine cone stickers, branches, and a sweet “let it snow” oval. To finish the layout, she scatters popped-up snowflake stickers across the page for a soft, snowy touch.

Snow Scrapbooking Layout

Marci Bensing

Marci’s snowy layout is full of playful details and clever design! She started with a single background paper and cut a large snowflake on her Silhouette Cameo, then double-matted three photos to make them pop. For the finished page, Marci created a standout title by cutting the word SNOW on the Silhouette, making the N and O larger and in a different color so that “NO” really jumps out—perfect for the story about her pup not loving the snow! She typed and matted the phrase below the title, added sparkly stars across the page, and popped a snowflake sticker in the center of her large cut snowflake. To the right, die-cut tags are layered with a small popped-up tag, a tiny snowflake sticker, and a twine accent at the top. Around the photos, she framed the middle one with a chipboard frame and sticker, and tucked a snowflake sticker under the left photo, tying the whole layout together with winter charm.
