1. Maui Fun Scrapbooking Layout by Melissa Bierlein
Melissa LOVES this kit!! She loves the vintage feel. This layout showcases a trip she took with her Mom and her sister to Maui.
The base is a sheet from the kit and Melissa layered it on a cut file which she used her Cricut to cut out the blue cardstock from her stash. She downloaded this cut file from IMGBIN.com called Island Silhouette.
Next, she cut it again with some green cardstock that had a craft core from her stash. She only used the tree portion and glued it right on top of the blue cut file. Then, she sanded the trunk and left it ‘rough’ to look like a palm tree trunk. She used the pinkish map paper to back the flowers and then cut out the flower stamens in yellow cardstock from her stash. These yellowish pieces are layered to add dimension.
As for the photo area, she used two of the 4X6” journaling square layered to back the photo. The photo is popped up with foam tape. Also, she used a journaling square from the kit for some hidden journaling behind the photo. The pull-out is from the upgrades.
Melissa used Travel Thickers to spell out ‘MAUI FUN’. These Thickers came in from the previous kit!!! Finally, the embellishments. She added some stickers from the sticker sheet and added elements from all three upgrades. Don't forget to check Melissa's blog to see more summer scrapbook layouts and cards.
2. The Beach Life Scrapbooking Layout by Samantha Taylor
May's kit really lends itself to collage-style scrapbooking. It's a bit different than Sam's usual style but she thought she'd try her hand at it. The best part about a kit subscription is trying new styles, papers, and embellishments that you might not normally pick out yourself!
Sam started with the cream map collage paper as her base. She added a 5 1/2" strip of blue beach collage paper to the right-hand side. Then, she added a 1/2" strip of pink map paper on top of the blue paper.
Next, she layered on four 4" x 3" photos. Finally, she added stickers from the included sticker sheet and embellishments from the upgraded embellishment kit. Note that the only items not from the kit are the alphabet stickers.
3. Vacation Food Layout by Samantha Taylor
Last year, Sam and her son took a beach vacation. Besides lots of swimming and sun, they also enjoyed lots of seafood and island treats. She decided to make a double-page layout about all the vacation food they ate.
Sam started by cutting a piece of pink paper in half and a piece of blue paper in half. She swapped halves to create 2 sheets of blue/pink paper. Then, she used a 3/4" strip of woodgrain paper to hold the halves together. Next, she added her 4" x 3" photos. She added a journaling card and also added journaling directly to the layout.
Finally, she added stickers from the included sticker sheet and seashell embellishments from the upgraded embellishment kit. Note that the only items not from the kit are the alphabet stickers.

4. Vitamin Sea Scrapbook Layout by Megan Blethen
Meggy started her layout by cutting two photos down to 4x4 and picked out the background paper. She chose 2 accent papers and cut one to 3.5x12. Then, she glued it to the far right side of the background paper.
She cut the second paper to 2.25x12 and ripped the edge of the left side of the paper to create a torn look. She matted the photos with one of the accent papers and then matted that with another one of the accent papers. Next, she glued the two photos to the left side of the background paper. Finally, she embellished the bottom left of the top photo, the bottom right of the bottom photo, and the top right of the layout. And done!
