Making an Adorable Card Using April’s Kit
I just recently started exploring with card making and realized there are so many fun things you can do. Just yesterday, I decided to get crafty and create a card for a new baby in the family that arrived and I just knew I wanted to use the fun April kit from this month.
This month’s kit has tons of fun, colorful patterned paper, photo corner embellishments, great chipboard accents and many other pieces. The “A Walk in the Park” and “Sunny days ahead” themes were perfect for a new spring baby!
The kit had beautiful, patterned butterfly, raindrops, tree and plaid paper, I just didn’t know where to start. Do you ever experience that when there is so much great paper? What I love the most about the double sided paper was that one side was multicolored and patterned while the other side was more somber and one color. I just knew I had to use that soft blue plaid paper somehow for this card.

The yellow and shades of blue paired perfectly together. Even with the slight flowers on the paper, I
thought it complimented well. Also, I knew I had to use the adorable alpha letters from the kit to welcome Baby Dev. The cute block stickers reminded me of children alphabet blocks, don’t you agree? The self-cut banner and lettered blocks really captured who and what this card is about.
The duck and border stickers from the 12×12 element stickers really finished the card of well. It’s simple, cute and perfect to welcome this cute baby boy! Who knew this Spring kit would lead to some creative, out-of-theme projects like this card!
Stay tuned for more versatile ways of using this month’s kit!
