You know Fall’s here when you’re all caught in the back-to-school craze and can’t avoid football conversations. Whether you’re crafting a good luck card for someone’s first day or designing one to thank a dear friend,  we’ve got your back with our September kit! (the Scholastic collection by Authentique). You’ll be surprised to see just how versatile this month’s kit really is. Get inspired by these beautiful card ideas made by our awesome Design Team members!

All the gorgeous cards we’ll show you today are made by our very own Terra Merriweather. She created them all with our September kit and has some leftovers too!

1. You’re a SUPERSTAR

This card is very easy to make and makes a big impact. Brighten up someone’s day by sending it in the mail asap. To create it, Terra cut out a 5.5″ x 4.25″ rectangle out of the Scholastic Two paper and attached it to a card base. Then, she used her Silhouette Cameo to cut the “Superstar by Paige Evans” out of red card stock. Terra then centered it & attached it with adhesive. Lastly, she used a Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to give the star a little extra shine. It turned out beautiful, didn’t it?

2. Hooray, Hooray!

The beauty of this card is that it can celebrate any school achievement so it can be used throughout the year. To make it Terra cut a 4.25″ x 5.5″ rectangle from the Scholastic Five paper and attached it to a card base. Next, she used her Silhouette Cameo to cut the following: “the apple” from Apple, “the Book Stack” from Back to School by Doodlebug Design, & “Hooray” from Hip Hop Hooray by Technique Tuesday.

She assembled the book stack and placed it on the lower left corner of the card. Then, she added the apple and adhered it to the card with foam tape. Lastly, she cut the word “Hooray” twice in two different colors to give it a pronounced outline.

3. Apple of my Eye Card 

To make this one, Terra cut a 4.25″ x 5.5″ rectangle and attached to a card base. She took a 3″ strip of the pencil-patterned paper, centered it on top of a solid strip of cardstock with the edges showing off a little, and then placed them all offset from the left. Then, she cut a 2.5″ x 2.5″ square from the star-patterned paper and attached it to solid piece of card stock, and centered them both. We love how easy it is to make!

4. Thank you Card

Terra likes to make gorgeous simple cards that inspire others to start paper crafting. Best of all, her instructions are very easy to follow. For this one, she cut a 4.25″ x 5.5″ rectangle from the flower-patterned paper and attached it sideways to a card base. Then, she used dies from Concord & 9th stamp company to cut out the word Friend and design the flowers. She used a banner from “My Favorite Things” to cut a border and used a sentiment from Concord and 9th. What a thoughtful card for a friend who’s been there for you!

5. School Notes

Terra cut a 4.25″ x 5.5″ rectangle from the blue gingham paper and attached it sideways to a card base. She used two rectangle dies to cut a frame out of solid card stock and attached to white card stock. Next, she attached the board to the upper right corner of the card. Then, she used an apple from a Silhouette file in the lower corner of the card.

She put the word school onto the framed rectangle and hand wrote the word notes. Lastly, she attached the apple with foam tape to give it a little bit of dimension. Easy to make, beautiful and very useful!
