Project Inspiration for May kit
We’re so excited to present our May layout and craft ideas created by our fabulous Design Team members using our collection Parasol Paper Kit by Maggie Holmes.
A Perfect Day Scrapbooking Layout
Sam received this month's kit, she knew it would be perfect for scrapping some travel photos. She started by using a piece of the striped paper as the base. Since she was planning to scrap the photos in a horizontal line, Sam placed the stripes so they were going vertically to add some visual interest. Next, she added a piece of yellow 12" x 6 3/4" paper, layering it with a piece of 12' x 6 1/4" blue marbled paper. Then, Sam added the photos and finally included the journaling tag and embellishments.
After carefully arranging the layout, Sam realized that the vibrant hues of the striped paper beautifully complemented the colors in her travel photos, enhancing the overall aesthetic. With each element delicately positioned, Sam couldn't wait to reminisce over her adventures every time she flipped through her scrapbook.

CAMERA MINI ALBUM SCRAPBOOKING LAYOUT
Leslie is a self-proclaimed mini album fanatic and loves creating them to document various occasions and holidays. She created a super cute camera with a hidden binding using her Cricut and an SVG cut file.
She cut the album cover and inside pages from kraft cardstock in her stash. She then cut layering panels from a variety of pretty papers in this month’s kit and embellished the pages with chipboard stickers, adhesive gems and washi tape from the upgrades. She made pockets for several of the pages with her pocket punch board along with pull-out inserts, leaving plenty of room for photos and journaling.
GOOD VIBES ANGLE CENTER STEP CARD SCRAPBOOKING LAYOUT
Leslie says her favorite kind of card is a fun fold and she makes them every chance she gets. This pop-out Z-fold features a variety of gorgeous papers from this month’s collection which she embellished with an adhesive gem from the upgrades.
The card base and diamond shaped layers were cut from white cardstock in her stash. Layering panels were cut from light pink cardstock and handmade banana paper in her stash along with coordinating papers from this month’s kit. Front and inside sentiments were stamped using two stamp sets in her stash.
YOU'RE THE ZEST POP-OUT Z-FOLD SCRAPBOOKING LAYOUT
Leslie created a super fun angled center step card featuring two coordinating papers from this month’s kit and some chipboard stickers from the upgrades.
The card base was cut from ivory cardstock in her stash. Layering panels were cut from dark teal cardstock in her stash along with two coordinating prints in this month’s kit.
She added two large chipboard stickers from the upgrades along with die cut sun and clouds to create the mini scene. She embellished the back panel with a strip of patterned paper used on the front and an additional chipboard sticker for the sentiment.
V-CUT SYMPATHY CARD SCRAPBOOKING LAYOUT
Leslie says the black and white floral print in this month’s kit really caught her eye and she knew she wanted to use it without any other patterned papers. She created a pretty sympathy card with a little pop of color from one of the washi tape patterns in the upgrades.
A standard A2 top-folding card base was cut from light pink cardstock in her stash. The V-cut panels were cut from the black and white floral paper in this month’s kit which she embellished with the black and multi-color patterned washi tape in the upgrades and some narrow white cardstock strips. She stamped a sentiment using a stamp set in her stash on the right side of the V prior to adhering the top panel which she popped up on foam squares.
She embellished the inside panel with a leftover strip of the floral print used on the front and stamped a sentiment from another stamp set in her stash.
I LOVE YOU ENDLESSLY SCRAPBOOKING LAYOUT
To create this beautiful Easter-themed scrapbook layout, begin by selecting a 12x12 background paper and two small photos. Next, cut a second piece of paper to 3.25x12 inches and adhere it to the left side of the layout. Trim one photo to 3.5x3 inches and the other to 2.75x2 inches. Choose a patterned paper to mat the photos on, cutting it to 3.75x3.25 inches for the larger photo and 3x2.25 inches for the smaller one.
Select two 3x4 patterned papers or journaling cards/ephemera and two tags. Glue these above and below the photos. Gather ten pieces of ephemera, arranging clusters under and above the smallest photo, and place one piece to the left of the larger photo. Create another cluster with ephemera in the top left corner of the layout, using enamel dots from the upgrade kit in each cluster.
In the top right corner, form a cluster with a tag, some ephemera, and enamel dots. Finally, add a small title to the right of the smaller photo, using a piece of chipboard ephemera from the upgrade kit as the title.
