We love new layouts and DIY layout design for our scrapbooks, especially when you can do them with a twist! Our inspiration for this post comes from Sharon Cheng, blogger and crafter. She highlights how easy it can be to put together a starburst layout design on scrapbook pages and cards. Who’s ready?

First of all, what we love most about this technique is the use of many different papers that compliment each other and a distinct theme. Also, the picture of the card above brings together bright red, crisp white, and deep blue (much like our July kit collection!) which brings your focus to the message the card is sending.

This layout is creative because it brings the focal point to a fun embellishment, photo, or quote as show above. Another part we love  is that it has so much detail and design!

All you need is your favorite designs of paper and your daily crafting supplies to get this look!

Finally, Sharon takes you step by step on how to build this layout to include the background peeping through and also the more traditional way or pieces the burst together side by side. Personally, the background showing through is spectacular.
